The ION SIMATIC S7 PN (PROFINET) is a function block for data acquisition from a SIMATIC S7‑300/S7‑400 PLC with PROFINET CPU:
- Provision of measured data for further processing in combination with the SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools software (this analysis software must be ordered separately, see "Analysis Software" → "SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools")
- Integrated into the controller user program
- Cyclic data transfer of measured data to the higher-level industrial PC via Ethernet
- Processing of communication via integral PROFINET interface of the CPU
