General description

Drive power ratings in compressor stations for gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, gas liquefaction plants (LNG) and rolling mills are increasing, and at the same time, the demands relating to plant/system availability and reliability still remain at high levels.

With SIMOTICS HV M, shaft height 800 in 4- and 6-pole versions – with power ratings up to 18 MW – the successful, modular steel enclosure series is being extended to implement motors with high power ratings. The motors are tailored for operation with SINAMICS medium voltage converters. These motors even operate perfectly under extremely rugged environmental conditions. They can be used at temperatures down to -50 °C, in aggressive and explosive atmospheres and in applications that must comply with API vibration specifications.

The wide range of options, the short delivery time and simple engineering of the standardized modular series is now also available for the new shaft height 800. The consequence: more flexible planning and faster project execution times. The weight-optimized housing with high stiffness and noise dampening structure has the new SIMOTICS design.
